Interior & Building Design

Designing a Hospitality Fitout with M Studio

As building designers, we have been using National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards on a day-to-day basis for the past 10 years: meeting the right ceiling height, the luminance specified for the lighting, the slip rating indicated for the flooring, and the fire rating for wallcoverings. You can rest easy that we can look after the planning approval process.

Investing in a new space in the shopping village/centre will be a breeze as we will also take care of the extra steps involved for design approval with the retail design manager as your appointed retail designer.

How It Works

Every project is unique and very individual. We offer tailored interior and building design services to suit your needs and budget. Let's start bringing your next hospitality space to life!

Consultation

We want to get to know you to provide you the best building design services possible! During our meet and greet, we will delve deep into every aspect of your business, draft the project proposal, create a timeline, and begin investigation of site constraints.

Design Planning

We work on the interior and building design with schematic stage, costing exercise, 3D renders, branding, and concept design. If the fitout is within a strata building or shopping centre, we also handle concept design submission to the strata or retail design manager as your Retail Designer.

Design Development

Once the concept design is approved by you and/or retail design manager, we begin with tender/construction documentation so the builders can provide you with quotations and for the certifier and retail design manager to make an assessment.

Construction

We also get involved during the construction stage. We provide assistance by attending to enquiries from the builder and provide design solutions to new constraints that may arise on-site during demolition. We also liaise with all trade persons involved to gather all required documents for occupation certificate submission so you can start doing what you do best smoothly in a timely manner!

M Studio Advantages

What sets M Studio above other interior design studios? We can offer building design services by liaising directly with the builder, principal certifying authorities, building surveyors, strata managers, centre management, landlords, and council town planners to bring your hospitality fitout from concept to reality.

M Studio can be involved every step of the way: from as early as Food & Beverage (F&B) Concept, looking for ideal location to trade, and tenancy coordination up until the venue is ready to trade.
